32 held in special drive in Khulna

KHULNA, June 10, 2026 (BSS) – Police arrested 32 more people in a special drive conducted across different areas of Khulna metropolitan city as part of ongoing efforts to control crime, maintain law and order, and ensure public safety.

According to the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), the arrests were made during operations carried out from Tuesday evening until 10 am today.

Of the arrestees, three were detained from Khulna Police Station, eight from Sonadanga Model Police Station, six from Labanchara Police Station, three from Harintana Police Station, eight from Khalishpur Police Station, three from Daulatpur Police Station, and one from Khan Jahan Ali Police Station.

During the drive, police arrested notorious criminal Rana, alias Gajal Rana, 35, along with several drug traders. Necessary legal action against the detainees is underway.

KMP Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Hasan told BSS that such special drives would continue to curb terrorism, extortion, drug trafficking, snatching and other criminal activities and maintain a peaceful law and order situation in the city.
