Three held with 19.5-kg ganja in Kurigram

RANGPUR, June 10, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 detained three alleged drug dealers with 19.5 kgs of ganja from Kurushaferusha village under Phulbari police station of Kurigram district today.

On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13's Crime Prevention Specialised Company in an anti-drug drive searched a house in the village, seized the ganja and detained the alleged drug dealers at 7:45 am, a press release said.
 
The detainees were identified as Md Saju Mia, 25, Md Rafiqul Islam, 45, and Josna Rani, 35, of Kurushaferusha village under Phulbari police station of Kurigram district.
 
After filing a case, the elite force handed them, along with the seized drugs, over to Phulbari Police Station, the release added.
