RANGPUR, Aug 2, 2026 (BSS) - The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) personnel arrested an alleged drug dealer with 394 pieces of Yaba tablets from the Madhya Pirjabad Rahmatpara area of Rangpur metropolis today.
 
On a tip-off, a team of Rangpur DNC searched a house in the area, seized the contraband Yaba tablets and arrested the man from the house at 12:30 noon, said a press release.
 
The arrested was Md Bulbul Mia, 2, son of late Abdul Hakim of the Madhya Pirjabad Rahmatpara area under Kotwali Metropolitan Police Station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) in the city.
 
Inspector of the DNC, Rangpur S M Eltas Uddin filed a case in this incident against the arrested person with Kotwali Metropolitan Police Station of RpMP.
 
The arrested person along with the seized drugs has been handed over to the police.
