KHULNA, Aug 6, 2026 (BSS) – The Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) held its divisional organizational meeting in Khulna on Wednesday night, focusing on strengthening its organizational activities and expanding social welfare initiatives across the region.

The meeting, held at the Khulna Club auditorium, discussed ways to strengthen the foundation's organizational network across the districts of Khulna division, intensify poverty alleviation efforts, expand grassroots healthcare services, and improve the quality of education.

The meeting was chaired by ZRF Adviser Dr. A.S. Haidar Parvez.

BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council member and ZRF Executive Director Prof. Dr. Farhad Halim Donar attended the event as the chief guest.

Among others present were Khulna City Corporation Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju, Khulna Development Authority Chairman Shafikul Alam Mona, Khulna University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mashud, and Khulna Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman Sarkar.

The speakers said the Ziaur Rahman Foundation, established in 1999, has been contributing to the country's development through initiatives in social welfare, healthcare, education, and poverty reduction.

They also said the organization had continued its activities despite facing challenges during the tenure of the previous Awami League government.
