PORT SUDAN, Sudan, May 4, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - A drone strike on Sunday hit the airport of Port Sudan, the seat of the Sudanese army-aligned government on the Red Sea coast, an airport official told AFP, reporting no casualties.

An army spokesman, Nabil Abdullah, said the rival paramilitary Rapid Support Forces launched several "suicide drones" at the coastal city, targeting the airport as well as "a goods warehouse and some civilian facilities in the city of Port Sudan" and causing no injuries but "limited damage".
