ISMAILIA, Egypt, Aug 11, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - At least 18 people, including several children, were killed on Tuesday in northern Egypt when a pick-up truck carrying agricultural day labourers crashed, a local medical source told AFP.

Egypt's health ministry had earlier said there were 47 casualties including some 30 injured when the commuter vehicle rolled over on the road near the Dawawis area of Ismailia governorate.
