TOKYO, Aug 20, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Japan said Thursday that North Korea had launched a possible ballistic missile, hours after US President Donald Trump said he would meet Pyongyang's leader Kim Jong Un later this year.

"North Korea has launched a suspected ballistic missile," the prime minister's office said in a post on X.
