
CHATTOGRAM, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS)- A two-day photo exhibition showcasing the dynamic life of the esteemed national leader and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia has commenced in Chattogram.
The exhibition was officially opened by the Bogura Media and Cultural Society-Dhaka at the Mukta Mancha premises of the Chattogram District Shilpakala Academy on Monday afternoon.
Following the inauguration, BNP Chattogram Divisional Co-organising Secretary Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, accompanied by other guests, visited the exhibition and signed the condolence book.
Barrister Helal Uddin praised Begum Khaleda Zia for her unwavering leadership in the fight for democracy and the rights of the people. He highlighted her life as a source of inspiration for the younger generation.
Former convener of Chattogram South District BNP and BNP-nominated candidate for Chattogram-9 constituency Mohammad Abu Sufian spoke on Begum Khaleda Zia's journey from a housewife to a three-time Prime Minister, emphasizing the challenges she faced. He noted that her political career is intertwined with the history of the democratic movement in Bangladesh.
The photo exhibition showcases various aspects of Begum Khaleda Zia's life and political career, tracing her journey from a regular housewife to a three-time Prime Minister.
The exhibition features over a hundred rare photographs capturing different moments from her family and political life.
Additionally, a special documentary highlighting her life and political struggles is being shown.
Special guests at the event included Bogura Media and Cultural Society Executive Member Aranya Pasha, Chattogram city JASAS Member Secretary Mamunur Rashid Shipon and City Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Shariful Islam Tuhin.
Leaders, activists, and supporters from different levels of the BNP and its affiliated organisations, as well as a significant number of visitors, attended the event.
The Bogura Media and Cultural Society organised a photo exhibition in 12 districts across the country in the first phase, showcasing the life of Begum Khaleda Zia.
