DHAKA, Jan 20, 2024 (BSS) - State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat today said that the government is considering a framework to hold those spreading disinformation and rumours accountable.

"A framework on how to hold those who spread disinformation and rumours accountable is under consideration," he wrote on his verified X (former Twitter) account.

In preventing propaganda, he wrote, the government is very cautious that freedom of expression and media are not hindered.
