DHAKA, October 24, 2024 (BSS) - The Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court today imposed a travel ban on Project Director of Matarbari Ultra Super Critical Coal Fired Power Project Jahangir Alam and his wife Nusrat Jahan.    
 
 Acting Judge Mohammad Ibrahim Mia of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court issued the order in response to a petition submitted by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
 
 ACC assistant director S M Rashedul Hasan filed the petition. He also sought a travel ban on Liaquat Ali Lucky, former director general of Shilpakala Academy.
 
Rashedul Hasan in his petition said that Jahangir may leave the country to avoid investigation against him and his wife so that a travel ban against the couple is very much necessary.
