DHAKA, Nov 24, 2024 (BSS) - Mohammad Babu, 36, a severely injured person in the student-mass uprising that unseat Sheikh Hasina ending her 16 years autocratic rule in the country, was sent to Vegthani Hospital in Thailand today for better treatment.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying Babu left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this morning, a press release of the health ministry said.

Director General (DG) of the Heath Directorate Prof Dr Md Abu Jafar saw him off at the airport.

The DG told the newsmen that the government is trying its best part in treating the critically injured persons in July-August mass uprising.

He said more critically injured persons will be sent abroad soon for their further better treatment.
