Home Adviser orders withdrawal of Chakaria Police Station OC within 24 hrs

COX'S BAZAR, March 1, 2025 (BSS) - Home Adviser Lieutenant General  Md 
Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) has ordered the withdrawal of the Chakaria Police Station 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) in Cox's Bazar within 24 hours. 

He gave the order after a view-sharing meeting with officials of the Home and 
Agriculture Ministries at the Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner's conference room today. 

Following allegation against the OC made by a local journalist, he gave the order to the 
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Chittagong Range over phone.

The journalist informed the Home Adviser about torture of an individual under the 
custody of the Chakaria Thana Police.
