DHAKA, Aug 5, 2026 (BSS) – Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today inquired about the health condition of injured July fighter Mitu, who joined the inauguration ceremony of the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum coming directly from her hospital where she still undergoes medical treatment.

The Prime Minister invited Mitu over and spoke with her warmly during the programme marking the July Mass Uprising Day at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital, said PM’s Assistant Press Secretary KM Nazmul Haque.  

During the conversation, Tarique Rahman asked about Mitu’s physical condition, inquired about the progress of her treatment and expressed appreciation for her courage and sacrifice during the July Mass Uprising.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister formally inaugurated the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum before joining a discussion titled ‘July-36’ at the venue.

Mitu, who was injured during the July Mass Uprising in 2024 and is still receiving medical treatment, attended the programme as an invited guest, travelling directly from the hospital.

The Prime Minister’s warm interaction with Mitu added a poignant moment to the ceremony, underscoring the nation’s recognition of the courage and sacrifices of the July fighters.
