SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 15, 2024 (BSS) - Railway Minister Md Zillul Hakim today
said the country incurred a monitory loss of Taka 9.28 crore due to the arson
attack by the BNP-Jammat on trains before the 12th Jatiya Sangsad elections.

"Bangladesh Railway has incurred a financial loss of Taka 9,28,56,304 due to
BNP-Jammat sabotage in railway aiming to foil the 12th Jatiya Sangsad
elections", he said while responding to a written question raised by Nur
Uddin Chowdhury Nayan at the Jatiya Sangsad with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin
Chaudhury in the chair.

The estimated financial loss of Bangladesh Railway was Taka 9,28,56,304 as
the BNP-Jamaat launched arson attacks before the parliament election held on
January 7.
