SANGSAD BHABAN, Mar 3, 2024 (BSS) - State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Rumana Ali today said more than 2.38 lakh teachers have been recruited in the Primary Schools during the last one decade.
"More than 2,38,579 teachers -- which include Head and Assistant teachers -- have been recruited across the country for the primary schools in the last twelve years," said the state minister.
Rumana told this while responding to a written question raised by treasury bench lawmaker M Abdul Latif in the question-answer session which was tabled at the Jatiya Sangsad here with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
Of the recruited teachers, 5,205 were head teachers and the rest 2,33,374 were assistant teachers.
Besides, the services of 1,04,875 non-government and registered teachers have been nationalized during this time.
Now, the government has formulated non-government primary school registration policy-2023, said the minister while replying to another written question made by treasury bench lawmaker M Mamunur Rashid Kiron.
Registrations of all the non-government primary schools are now in progress under the registration policy.
