DHAKA, March 3, 2024 (BSS) - Freedom Fighter Kazi Omar Ali, paternal uncle of Awami League (AL) Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan, died of old-age complications on Saturday.

He was 74.

Omar Ali breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital here.

Omar Ali left behind wife, four sons, four daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Omar Ali.

In a condolence message, the AL general secretary prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
