MANIKGANJ, June 15, 2024 (BSS) - The homebound passengers and vehicles have been crossing the Paturia-Daulatdia route during the holy Eid-Ul-Azha smoothly, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) sources said.

Paturia ghat BIWTC Deputy General Manager Shah Mohammad Khaled Newaz said more than 2,500 vehicles including bus, private car, truck, microbus, and motorcycle crossed the Padma river from dawn to dust today without any hassle.

DGM Khaled Newaz said all the vehicles loaded with passengers and goods crossed the river immediately after loading on the ferry as adequate number of ferries was plying round-the-clock.
