DHAKA, June 17, 2024 (BSS)- For the first time, the main Eid-ul-Azha congregation of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) was held at 7.30am today on the Golartech Ground at Mirpur. 

DNCC Mayor Md Atiqul Islam offered Eid prayers on the ground. 

After the prayers, he exchanged Eid greetings with locals, said a release.  

Atiqul said the main Eid jamaat under the auspicious of DNCC was held at Golartech ground for the first time. It is a historical ground and it will be turned into a play ground soon, he said. 

From now on, he said, the main Eid Jamaat of DNCC areas will be held at the ground. 

He urged the city dwellers to keep wastes at specific places anywhere.

Md Moinul Hossain Khan Nikhil, MP, DNCC chief executive officer Mir Khairul Alam, secretary Mohammad Masud Alam Siddique, Chief Engineer Brigadier General Md Moin Uddin and DNCC officials and employees also took part in the Eid Jamaat.
