DHAKA, Nov 5, 2024 (BSS) - The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) today opened a child day care centre after the name of July-August Revolution martyr Nafisa Hossain Marwa at its headquarters today.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Nasreen Jahan inaugurated the centre as the chief guest at a ceremony that was also attended by CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, said a press release here.
Nafisa Hossain Marwa, a HSC candidate of Sahaj Uddin Sarkar Higher Secondary School was killed in Savar on August 5, it said.
The day care center is designed to provide CAAB's working parents a safe and comfortable environment for their children, enhancing their focus at work.
Accommodating up to 30 children aged six months to three years, the center includes facilities such as a soundproof sleeping area, play zone, breastfeeding corner, food zone, reading area, and television.
To ensure convenience, the center also offers appliances like an oven, refrigerator, child-friendly washrooms, geyser, water purifier, rides, and toys.
Trained staff and pre-school teachers are also employed to provide comprehensive care and early education to the children at the daycare center.
Nafisa Hossain Marwa's father and sister and Chief Executive Officer of the July Martyrs Memorial Foundation Mir Mahbubur Rahmnan Snigdha, the brother of martyr Mugdha were also present on the occasion.
