DHAKA, Nov 5, 2024 (BSS) - The 'Army Chief Parade' ceremony of the Bangladesh Army's Recruit Batch-2024 of its Armoured Corps, Service Corps and Ordnance Corps was held today respectively at the Armoured Corps Center and School (ACC&S) in Bogura Cantonment, the Army Service Core Center and School (ASCC&S) in Khulna Jahanabad Cantonment and the Ordnance Center and School (OC&S) of Rajendrapur Cantonment in Gazipur.
A press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said this in the evening.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Infantry Division and Bogura Area Commander Major General Md Khaled-Al-Mamun, Managing Director of the Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory Major General Md Nahid Asgor and Major General Md Maksudul Haque of the Foreign Ministry respectively attended the events as the chief guests.
The chief guests visited the parades and took salutes at their respective events.
Speaking on the events, the chief guests recalled the glorious history of the Bangladesh Army and its outstanding contribution to the country and its people.
They asked the young soldiers to acquire necessary skills through imparting modern and up-to-date training so that the young soldiers could face the tough challenges of the 21st century.
The chief guests in their respective speeches also encouraged the young soldiers to devote themselves to serving the country and its people, the ISPR added.
Senior military and civil officials of the Bangladesh Army, other officer concerned, junior commissioned officers (JCOs), invited guests and the soldiers of Armoured Corps, Army Service Corps and Ordnance Corps enjoyed the ceremonies.
