DHAKA, Nov 26, 2024 (BSS) - Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed today submitted the "Supreme Court Annual Report-2023" to President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban here.
 
During the meeting, the Chief Justice informed the President about key aspects of the report and overall activities of the Supreme Court, the country's apex court, President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS subsequently.

The Head of the State was also informed about the formation of the Supreme Judicial Council and its activities. 
 
Expressing satisfaction with the overall activities of the Supreme Court, the President said the Supreme Court is the last hope for justice-seekers.
 
The judiciary, under the leadership of the Chief Justice, will be able to ensure justice for the litigants within a reasonable time, he hoped.
 
Appellate Division Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and secretaries concerned to the Bangabhaban were also present.
