Youth can change country's image: Fakhrul

MUNSHIGANJ, Jan 17, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today said the youths are very much connected with the modern technologies as their intellectual power is very sharp.

"If we can utilize the youth in the right way, the image of the country will change. Only the young generation can eliminate all the discriminations and build a society free of inequity. They can bring revolutionary changes at all the levels of the country. For all these, they should give more importance to education," he said.

The BNP leader said these while talking to newsmen after attending a grand reunion of the former students of Dhaka College at Dhalis Amber Resort at Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj.

Presided over by grand reunion organizing committee convener and Sechhasebok Dal general secretary Mir Sharafat Ali Sopu, the function was also addressed by Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H Monsur and veteran journalist Shafique Rehman, among others.

Expressing joy after meeting his old friends from college, the BNP secretary general said he feels proud of being a former student of Dhaka College.

"I first experienced student politics in Dhaka College and my days there were very joyful," he added.
