Later, they developed a close relationship. At certain stage, Masum called  the victim in  a house at Kajlarpar area on January 11 where he forcibly made her captive and raped .

Subsequently, his two friends Israfil and Sharif raped the victim and recorded the video footage of the incident.

The rapists demanded TK 30,000 from the victim. However, the victim gave them TK 9,500.

They told her to repay  the rest of the money otherwise; they would spread the recorded video footage if she does not comply the order.

The victim agreed to that condition and managed to free herself from their captivity.

The victim then  informed the matter to the police who later seized three mobile phones and recovered TK 8,650 out of previously paid TK 9500 from their possessions.

After initial interrogation, police came to know that the arrestees are cohorts of an organized crime gang.

The criminal band had been engaged in raping women through trapping and blackmailing for long, police said.

Police added that the trio were sent to the court after legal steps.
