DHAKA, Jan 18, 2025 (BSS) - Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal today held a ‘March for Justice’ demanding the trial of banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League and the allies of ousted fascist Awami League government.

The procession began from Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and ended at the Central Shaheed Minar after parading Shabagh crossing and TSC of Dhaka university. Leaders and activists from its various units joined the march.

The march, led by Chhatra Dal Central President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, saw participants chanting slogans against Chhatra League and the fascist Awami League.

Chhatra Dal senior Vice-President Abu Hasan Yeahia and Organizing Secretary Amanullah Aman, among others, spoke on the occasion.

In the rally, Rakibul Islam Rakib called for the banning of “underground politics” on campuses. He urged the interim government to take legal action against the members of Chhatra League.

Rakib expressed disappointment at the lack of progress in holding their trial.

Nasir Uddin Nasir demanded immediate arrest of Chhatra League's top leaders.

He said, “The programme is a part of our demand for holding trial of the terrorist organization Chhatra League. We see that their top leaders are still roaming freely, but the authorities are not arresting them. We demand the immediate arrest of Chhatra League’s terrorists.”
