DMP files 1,825 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Feb 27, 2025 (BSS) - The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1,825 cases for violating traffic rules in the capital during the last two days.

The DMP has been conducting campaign against traffic violations in the city aimed at bring traffic system under proper management, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman said.

DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release.

The DMP release said that 187 vehicles were dumped and 58 others were towed during the drive.

The drive will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets, the release added.
