Mizanur Rahman joins as parliament secretary

DHAKA, Feb 27, 2025 (BSS) – The newly appointed Secretary to the Parliament Secretariat Md. Mizanur Rahman today asked the officers and employees of the secretariat to perform their respective duties with utmost sincerity and dedication ahead of the upcoming general election.

He made the call while addressing a meeting with the officers and employees of the secretariat at his office in the Jatiya Sangsad immediately after his joining in the new office.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahman also laid emphasis on taking preparations to perform their (officers and employees) duties in line with the change over taken place through the July-August mass uprising led by students-people. 

Earlier, on his arrival at the parliament secretariat, he was received by officers and employees of the secretariat.    

Moderated by Additional Secretary of Parliament Secretariat ATM Siddikur Rahman, Deputy Secretaries SM Ataul Karim, Nazmun Nahar and Md Shamsul Haque addressed the meeting on behalf of the officers and employees. 

Before joining as secretary to the parliament secretariat, Mizanur Rahman served as the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms. 

Earlier, he also served as Additional Secretary to the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry, Director-Primary Education Directorate, Joint Secretary, CHT Affairs Ministry and Zonal Executive Officer of Dhaka South City Corporation.

Mizanur Rahman hailed from Dibakarkathi village of Jhalkathi district.
