618 more netted under 'Operation Devil Hunt'

DHAKA, Feb 28, 2025 (BSS) – The joint forces arrested 618 more suspects linked to destabilize the country under the nationwide ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ in the last 24 hours till today, a police headquarters statement said.  

With the latest figure, a total of 12,231 suspects were taken into custody since the crackdown begun on February 8 last following a terror attack on the student-people in Gazipur district.   


On the 21th day of the crackdown, a total of 1414 persons were apprehended. Of them, 786 were netted under the ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ and 914 others for previous cases and warrants.       

During the operation, the forces seized one LG, one cartridge and several matches.
