BAF Shaheen College Hosts Annual Cultural Ceremony

DHAKA, Feb 28, 2025 - The Annual Cultural Programme and Prize Giving 
Ceremony for 2024-25 of BAF Shaheen English Medium College (SEMC) 
took place on Thursday (27-02-2025) at the Shaheen Hall. 

The event was graced by Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanveer Khan, OSP, 
BSP, ndc, afwc, acsc, psc, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations), 
who attended the programme as the Chief Guest, an ISPR press release 
said.

During the ceremony, the Chief Guest awarded special honors to 
students who excelled in the O-Level and A-Level Cambridge 
Examinations, June 2024. Notably, three students were recognized with 
the prestigious 'Top in the World' award for Mathematics-D at O 
Level, while three others earned the same distinction for A-Level 
Mathematics. The Chief Guest also commended the Department of 
Mathematics for their exceptional guidance and support in preparing 
students for success.

Farzeena Fatima Khan and Nur-E-Naziha were named the "Best Students 
of 2024-25" in the Junior and Senior groups, respectively, in 
recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and co-
curricular involvement. Additionally, Nuruzzaman, Mohammad Amjad 
Hossain, and M. Mofazzal Hossain received the "Best Teacher of 2024-
25" awards in their respective categories.

In his address, the Chief Guest praised the remarkable achievements 
of the students and expressed confidence in the college’s continued 
success. Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Khair Ul Afsar, GUP, ndc, psc, Air 
Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar and Chairman of the Governing 
Body of BAF SEMC, was also present, the release added.

The Principal of BAF SEMC, Group Captain Taslim Ahmed, psc, 
highlighted the college's academic and co-curricular excellence 
during his welcome speech. The ceremony was further enhanced by 
cultural performances from students, including songs, recitations, 
dances, and drama. The event was attended by senior Bangladesh Air 
Force officials, parents, teachers, and students.
