UNHCR visits Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camps

COX'S BAZAR, Feb 28, 2025 (BSS) - United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees 
(UNHCR) Filippo Grandi today visited the Rohingya camps in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar.

He witnessed the activities of UNHCR-run registration center there.

UNHCR Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific Hai Kyung Jun, Refugee Relief and 
Repatriation Commissioner Mizanur Rahman, officials of various UN agencies, and 
concerned officials of the camp administration were present at the time.

In the afternoon, Filippo Grandi joined a view-exchange meeting with Refugee Relief and 
Repatriation Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. 

Grandi arrived in Bangladesh on a four-day visit on Wednesday.
