Navy rescues abducted youth from Teknaf

CHATTOGRAM, March 01, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Navy in a drive on Friday rescued a youth named Sabbir Ahmed from Boro Habir Para of Teknaf upazila under Cox’s Bazar district.  
 
“A Navy team rescued the abducted person from a house at Boro Habir Para of Ward No.8 in Teknaf upazila yesterday afternoon,” said an ISPR press release this morning.

The Navy also arrested two people, Halima Khatun and Munni Akhter, from the house while the others managed to flee away from the spot.

The rescued youth bore several injury marks on his body, the release said.

The victim was handed over to his family, while the detainees were handed over to the Teknaf police station for necessary legal action. 

The victim's family said a group of abductors called Sabbir Ahmed from the house at around 8pm last Thursday and after that he remained missing.
