569 more held under "Operation Devil Hunt"

DHAKA, March 1, 2025 (BSS) - The joint forces arrested 569 more individuals 
for their suspected link to destabilize the country under the nationwide 
"Operation Devil Hunt" in the last 24 hours till this noon, a police 
headquarters statement said. 

With the latest figure, a total of 12,496 alleged anarchists were taken into 
custody from across the country in the last 21 days since the operation began 
on February 8 last following a terror attack on the student-people in Gazipur 
district. 

A total of 1,231 crime suspects-- 662 on previous cases and warrants and 569 
under the operation-- were taken into custody during the last 24 hours.

The forces also seized two one barrel country-made pistols, 10 rounds of 
bullet, 62 grams gunpowder and four machetes.
