Justice Manik, Sohail interrogated in Sagor-Runi murder case

DHAKA, Mar 1, 2025 (BSS) - Former Supreme Court (SC) Appellate Division Judge AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik and retired Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail were interrogated in the journalist couple Sagar Sarwar and Meherun Runi murder case. 
  
A high-powered taskforce formed by the Home Ministry interrogated them recently at Dhaka Central Jail gate, investigation officer Azizul Haque said.

“Their information are being verified,” he said.  
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam granted the investigating officer to interrogate Manik and Sohail at jail gate on February 18. 
 
Enam Ahmed alias Humayun Kabir, an accused of the case was also interrogated at the jail gate, IO said.

Journalist couple Sagar-Runi were murdered in their flat in West Rajabazar under Sher-e-Bangla Nagar thana on February 11, 2012.
