Govt appoints new civil surgeons in 41 dists

DHAKA, March 4, 2025 (BSS) - The government has appointed new civil surgeons in 41 districts across the country. 

The Health Services Division (HSD) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued two separate notifications, signed by Deputy Secretary Sanjida Sharmin, in this regard on Sunday (March 2). 

In one notification, an order has been issued to appoint civil surgeons in 12 districts. In another notification, an order has been issued to appoint civil surgeons in 29 other districts.
 
Earlier on Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare made 29 civil surgeons Officer on Special Duty (OSD).

The notification said the transferred or reassigned officials must join their new workplaces by March 6. Otherwise, they will be considered released from their current postings effective from March 9.
