Fire at Bhashantek Slum under control

DHAKA, March 6, 2025 (BSS) - A fire broke out at the BRB Slum in the city's Bhashantek area this morning, was brought under control after nearly one and half hours of frantic efforts.

According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence media officer Talha bin Zasim, The fire originated in the slum around 11.00 am and was fully doused at 12:36 pm.

After receiving information, fire engines rushed to scene approximately at 11:13 pm and a total of five fire fighting units worked to contain the blaze.

No casualties were reported in this fire incident.

The cause of the fire and extent of damage could not be ascertained immediately.
