BGB arrest bangladeshis while they were trying to cross border illegally

JHENAIDAH, March 6, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 19 Bangladeshis during separate drives while they were trying to enter India illegally through different border areas of Moheshpur upazila of the district.

A team of BGB of Benipur BoP arrested three persons, including a woman, while BGB personnel of Baghadanga BoP arrested eight persons, including four women and two children.

In another drive, BGB of Kushumpur BoP arrested seven persons, including two women and two children, when they were trying to enter the neighboring country illegally.

The arrestees are Miraj, 28, son of Kawsar Ali of Pipulbaria village of Moheshpur upazila, Sohagh Biswas, 30, son of Habi Biswas of Goalanda upazila of Rajbari district, Bikash Chandra Das, 35, son of Poresh Chandra of Faridganj upazila of Chandpur district, Manishangkar Majumder, 33, of Chitalmari upazila of Bagerhat district, his brother Rubel Chandra Majumder, 37, Kalangir Fakir, 45, son of Daud Fakir of Mollahat village of Dighalia village in Khulna district, and Shibaji Biswas, 19, son of Subodh Biswas, Satpara village in Sadar upazila of Gopalganj district.

The BGB didn't disclose the names of women and children.

The arrested male persons were handed over to Moheshpur Thana for legal actions.
