AG urges journos to remain vigil against corruption in judicial arena

DHAKA, Mar 08, 2025 (BSS) – Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman today called upon the journalist community to remain vigilant against corruption in the judicial arena.

The Attorney General said this while addressing the Iftar Mahfil of the Law Reporters’ Forum (LRF) at the hall room of the Supreme Court Lawyers Association in the capital.

Acting president of LRF Hasan Javed presided over the Iftar Mahfil.

Mentioning that the LRF has been playing an important role in legal affairs reporting, Asaduzzaman hoped that the LRF would continue to play its strong role against corruption in the judiciary like past.

LRF members will move ahead braving all odds and difficulties while the Attorney General office and the lawyers association will always stand beside them, he said.

Moderated by the convenor of the Iftar Mahfil committee Muhammad Yeasin, Supreme Court Lawyers Association president Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) former presidents Nazrul Islam Mithu and Ilias Hossain, LRF founding member secretary Kazi Abdul Hannan, former LRF presidents M Badi-uz-Zaman and Mashhudul Haque, current general secretary Moniruzzaman Mission, former general secretaries Didarul Alam Didar, Azizul Islam Pannu, Ahammed Sarwar Hossain Bhuiyan and Habibur Rahman spoke on the occasion.

LRF Finance Secretary Monjun Hossain, organizing secretary SM Nur Mohammad, training and publicity secretary Javed Akhter and executive committee member Arafat Munna were present, among others.
