53 injured persons of July uprising get Taka one lakh each

KHULNA, March, 09, 2025 (BSS)- Fifty-three persons who sustained injuries during student-led mass uprising last year were given financial assistance of Taka one lakh each.

Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter handed over the cheques of financial support at a function organized by July Shaheed Smrity Foundation at Khulna Shilpokola Academy today.

Address the occasion Farida Akhter said the Interim government is committed to provide financial support and treatment to the injured persons of July movement as long as it’s required.

She urged all to build social resistance against all violence and repression against women saying students should come forward to prevent such social curse from the country.

She said a new department under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs will be set up soon to continue support to the families of the martyrs and injured persons of the uprising.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of July Shaheed Smrity Foundation Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mughdo and senior government officials also spoke on the occasion.
