Liberation War Museum's generator room fire under control

DHAKA, March 10, 2025 (BSS) - A fire broke out at the generator room of the Liberation War Museum in the capital's Agargaon area this morning, was brought under control.

The fire originated on the ground floor of the four-storey museum at 9:00 am due to electric short circuit, media officer Talha bin Zasim of Fire Service and Civil Defence confirmed the matter.


Two fire fighting units from Mohammadpur Fire Station rushed to the scene and doused the flame at 9:46am.

The extent of damage caused by the fire was approximately Tk 5 lakh , while the fire service saved properties from the blaze was around Tk 50 lakh.

No casualties were reported in the fire incident.
