3-day Sufi/Qawwali music training begins at Shilpakala

DHAKA, March 20, 2025 (BSS)- Three-day long training workshop on Sufi/Qawwali music has 
started yesterday under the arrangement of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy’s Training 
Department. 

The workshop started on Wednesday at 3pm in the seminar room of the National Theatre. The 
workshop will continue from 2pm to 5pm every day till March 21, said a press release here today.

The main instructor of the three-day workshop is renowned Qawwali artist Md Sameer Hossain 
(Sameer Qawwal). The course director of the workshop is Begum Kamrun Nahar.

A total of 15 trainees are participating in the workshop.
