Travel ban imposed on ex-NBR chairman Nojibur, wife

DHAKA, April 08, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today issued a travel ban on former NBR chairman Md Nojibur Rahman, his wife Nazma Rahman and sons - Fuad NA Rahman and Farabi NA Rahman - over graft allegations. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The petition stated that an investigating officer was appointed to investigate and submit a report on the allegations of acquiring assets of crores of taka against Md Nojibur Rahman through bribery, corruption and transfer business.

It is imperative to issue an order prohibiting the four accused from traveling abroad until the investigation into the case is completed in the interest of a fair investigation, said the petition.
