Six police officials transferred

DHAKA, April 8, 2025 (BSS) - The home ministry has transferred six police officials, including two officers of deputy inspector general (DIG) rank to new postings.

 "The transfers will take immediate effect," said a circular issued today by Public Security Division under the home ministry, signed by the Division's deputy secretary Mahbubur Rahman.

 Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Khandaker Nazmul Hasan has been transferred to the Police Headquarters (PHQ), while PHQ DIG Ruhul Amin has been posted to the Tourist Police.

PHQ assistant inspector general of police Quamrul Islam has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Rajbari while the incumbent Rajbari SP Shamima Parveen has been transferred as commandant of the In-Service Training Centre in Thakurgaon.
 
Besides, An SP of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Mohammad Naimul Hasan has been appointed as the Madaripur SP and Madaripur district SP Md Saifuzzaman has been transferred to the PHQ.
