Dry weather likely

DHAKA, April 09, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department today said weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

It said a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Sirajganj, Feni & Jashore and it may continue.

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country while rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

The Well-Marked Low over Southwest Bay and adjoining West central Bay moved northwards and now lies over West central Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay in the morning today.

 It is likely to move northwards during the next 12 hours and thereafter likely to move north-northeastwards. Trough of lows lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas.

The Met office yesterday recorded maximum temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius at Baghabari under Rajshahi Division while today's minimum temperature was 17.00 degrees Celsius at Tetulia under Rangpur Division.


Today's sunset at Dhaka would be at 06:18 pm while tomorrow's sunrise here would be at 05:43 am.
