SSC, equivalent exams begin tomorrow

DHAKA, April 9, 2025 (BSS) - The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will begin across the country tomorrow (Thursday). 

This year, around 19.28 lakh candidates are expected to sit for the examinations under nine general education boards, Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board.

A total of 1,490,142 candidates are expected to sit for the examinations under nine general education boards at 2,291 centres in the country.

Of them, 7,01,538 are male and 7,88,604 are female students.

Under Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board, a total of 294,726 students are also expected to take the examinations. Of them, 150,893 are male and 143,833 female students.

Besides, 143,313 students under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board are expected to sit for the examination. Of them, 108,385 are male and 34,928 female candidates.

The examinations are scheduled to end on May 13, while the practical exams will be held from May 15 to May 22.

The Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers' Committee has already issued instructions to conduct the examination in a fair, peaceful and completely copy-free environment. The committee also said that legal action will be taken against those involved in question paper leakage and spreading rumors.
