Bangladesh, Russia for strengthening bilateral engagements

DHAKA, April 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh and Russia have reiterated their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation during a meeting between the newly appointed Russian Ambassador, Alexander Grigoryevich KHOZIN and Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin.

The courtesy call took place on Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said a press release here

During the meeting, the Ambassador briefed the Foreign Secretary about different aspect of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Russia. 

He further discussed the possibilities of mutual support in elections to various United Nations bodies and other international organizations."

In response, Foreign Secretary Jashim Uddin assured that Bangladesh would continue to engage with Russia in multilateral fora, consistent with established practices and national positions.

Both sides also expressed satisfaction with the warm relations between the two countries and their shared views on many international issues.
