DHAKA, April 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind at different parts of the country.

"Rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, said a Met office press release.

The Met office said weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 37.5 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was recorded 19.0 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur in Rangpur division. 

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded 60 millimeters (mm) at Dimla in Rangpur division.

The sun sets today at 06:19pm and rises at 05:40am tomorrow in the capital.
