PATUAKHALI, June 20, 2025 (BSS) - Land and Foods Adviser Food Adviser Ali Imam Majumder has asked the administration to conduct drive on priority basis to recover the encroached Khas lands of the district.

He gave this instruction at a meeting of views exchange with the officials of the khas land management at the circuit house today.

Majumder directed to recover encroached khas land and take legal action against the encroachers. 

Deputy Commissioner Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin chaired the meeting while UNOs, Assistant Commissioner (land) and assistants of the land office were present.

The adviser said the land ministry is the owner of the khas lands and it’s the duty of the DC, UNO, AC land and concerned officials to protecting the public property.

He said that some people occupy the khas land through influence while some others grab the land with forged documents. 

Majumder directed the concerned officials to take legal action irrespective of the nature of their encroachment.
