DHAKA, July 15, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am.

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna & Sylhet divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Barishal & Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day temperature may fall slightly over Rangpur & Rajshahi divisions and it may rise slightly elsewhere over the country. Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 34.5 degree Celsius in Sylhet, while today's minimum temperature was 24 degree Celsius in Tangail.

The sun sets at 6.49pm today and rises at 5.20am tomorrow in the capital.
