DHAKA, July 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has decided a nationwide tree plantation programme in all schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutions under the Ministry of Education to mark the July Uprising anniversary.

In a directive issued on Tuesday, DSHE instructed all educational institutions to submit specific information related to the tree plantation initiative within the next five working days.

The instructions, conveyed through a letter signed by Md. Khalid Hossain, Assistant Director (General Administration) of DSHE, outlined that each institution must provide details about the amount of land available for tree planting and the estimated number of trees that can be planted.

The required information includes the name of the institution, EIIN number, total land area (in square feet), the area suitable for plantation and the number of trees needed.

Institutions have been asked to submit the data both in hard copy and soft copy using the prescribed format to the Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Wing of the Ministry of Education.
