DHAKA, July 17, 2025 (BSS) – Charge sheets in 12 cases linked to the July Uprising have been submitted before the court.

“Out of the cases, three are murder cases and nine are under other sections," confirmed AIG (Media and PR), Police Headquarters, Enamul Haque Sagar.

Charge sheets in the three murder cases were submitted before courts in Sherpur district.

Among the nine other cases filed under different sections, one charge sheet each was submitted by Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Barisal Metropolitan Police, and Chapainawabganj district police, while two each were submitted by Sirajganj district police and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Senior police officers are supervising the cases to ensure proper investigation into those filed during the mass uprising of students and the public.

“Bangladesh Police is working sincerely to complete the investigation of all other cases properly and bring the criminals to book,” Sagar said.
