MANIKGANJ, July 17, 2025 (BSS) – National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam today called for building a new Bangladesh free from discrimination and exploitation.

“In the new Bangladesh, power will not be concentrated in the hands of any individual,” he said while addressing a road march programme at Rafiq Chattar in the district town this evening.

Nahid Islam alleged that the Awami League government oppressed the people, students, and Islamic scholars by branding them as fundamentalists.

He also claimed that Awami League activists looted land and houses belonging to the Hindu community during their authoritarian rule.

NCP leaders Sarjis Alam, Hasnat Abdullah, Akhtar Hossain, Nasir Uddin Patwari, Samanta Sharmin, and Dr Tasnim Jara also spoke at the event.
